Dr. Karen H. Lewkowitz is a leading orthodontist known for precision care and a warm, down-to-earth chairside manner. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and completed a two-year Orthodontic Specialty program at NYU College of Dentistry, where she trained in both time-tested and cutting-edge techniques.
A Fellow of the American College of Dentists and a proud member of the American Association of Orthodontists and American Dental Association, Dr. Lewkowitz has also served the profession as Past President of the Queens County Dental Society and Past Chair of National Children’s Dental Health Month for the society.
Dr. Lewkowitz provides the full spectrum of modern orthodontics for children, teens, and adults—including palate expanders, habit-breaking appliances, metal and clear braces, and Invisalign—and she’s a strong advocate for early/interceptive orthodontics when it can simplify future treatment. Her approach is highly personalized: she listens carefully, explains options clearly, and designs treatment plans that fit each patient’s lifestyle and goals.
